The dimensions each platform actually wants
If you've ever uploaded a video and seen black bars or a cropped-off face, it's an aspect-ratio mismatch. Here's the short version:
- YouTube — 16:9 widescreen, 1920×1080 for 1080p
- TikTok / Instagram Reels / YouTube Shorts — vertical 9:16 at 1080×1920
